Bad Girls Club Tops Network Ratings

The show keeps getting better and better, so of course the ratings will do the same.
The Bad Girls Club Season 4 is officially (according to The Futon Critic) the most watched telecast in network history. A total of 1,677,000 tuned in last night to watch Natalie vs Portia square up in one of the most anticipated fights of the season. Not only did Bad Girls Club beat out last week's 1.42, but dominated Tori & Dean's 1.47. Earning the right to be known as the best show in Oxygen TV network history.

BGC4 Breaks All Records .. but

The Bad Girls Club Season 4 is officially the highest rated season in BGC history. A total of 1.42 million viewers tuned in this past Tuesday to see if Kendra was going to give Natalie a second chance or send her home. However, because I am such a buzz-kill, the Bad Girls Club is still the second highest rated show when compared to another Oxy original, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. Tori & Dean ended their fourth season with a total of 1,471,000 making it the most watched show in Oxygen history.

Kendra Interview With Creative Loafing

Source: Creative Loafing

Maybe we’re too hard on reality stars. Sure, they’re generally narcissistic and walk around with a pseudo-importance during, and even years after, their 15 minutes of fame are up. But how many of us would turn down the opportunity to spend a summer in an LA mansion, being VIP at every club, and of course, drinking from a seemingly unlimited supply of alcohol provided by the show’s producers. I’d say, “Fuck my internship,” too.

Everyone you see partying, fighting, crying, bitching and ultimately building alliances to “survive” on reality TV has their own reason for auditioning — and Charlotte native Kendra James’ was a whim.
She decided to road trip from Greensboro, where she was in college, with her girls to attend an open casting call in Charlotte, and after months of calls backs she found herself on season four of Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club. Sounds way hotter than the Biggest Loser.
We recently caught up with the Queen City resident turned reality show hottie and talked about her TV experience.

Creative Loafing: How long was the audition process for the Bad Girls Club?

Kendra: I started doing The Real World. I did seven interviews with Real World, and then they called me and said you didn’t make the Real World but do you want to try the Bad Girls Club and then I had three or four interviews with the Bad Girls Club.

Was it hard for you to drop everything and say, “I’m gonna go out here and live with a bunch of girls on TV”?

Well, Initially it was over the summer, so it was easy. I wasn’t in school, I didn’t really have any obligations, so it really easy for me to say I want to take this opportunity. But it ended up going over into the school year, so I had to push back my graduation date. I definitely wouldn’t change anything, but it definitely changed my plans a little bit.

Natalie Interview With Mercury News

WHEN NATALIE NUNN opened the Celebrity Bound Boutique on Main Street two years ago, she had no idea she would find herself literally 'celebrity-bound' on the fast track to becoming a sweetheart of reality TV.

Natalie, 24, stars on the fourth season of "Bad Girls Club," which premiered Monday on the Oxygen Network and is now showing every Tuesday at 10 p.m. Even though this makes her an official bad girl of the Hollywood scene, she hasn't cut ties yet with Pleasanton.

Natalie grew up on the Peninsula, and her parents Earl and Karen Nunn moved to Pleasanton five years ago. At the time, she was attending USC, where she played soccer all four years.

After graduating with a double major in sociology and communications two years ago, she relocated to Pleasanton and opened her boutique. She loved running it, but also knew her personality was made for reality TV.

"I hadn't seen the first few seasons but heard about the show. I sent a tape, and they had me come down for interviews. I went through the process but didn't give up. I was honest when I auditioned — it was just me," Natalie said.

Interview With Jonathan Murray

Source: The Futon Critic

It was three years ago this month when nobody knew that a houseful of rambunctious women put together in a house would create such a ratings bonanza for the Oxygen network. "The Bad Girls Club" has been breaking ratings records for the network since its 2006 premiere and, based on the strong performance of the season four premiere last week, this reality series will continue to entertain for a long time to come. Executive Producer/Creator Jon Murray talked with our Jim Halterman last week about how the bad girls are chosen, why there won't be a 'Bad Boys Club' and why Murray loves working in the world of cable.

Jim Halterman: Congratulations on the performance of the season premiere of "The Bad Girls Club."

Jon Murray: Oxygen was very happy. It was our highest premiere in a lot of the key demos.

JH: What do you think is the appeal of the show?

JM: I think it's fun watching people who aren't afraid to live their lives sort of loudly. I think most of us constrain ourselves to follow what society dictates but these women are unapologetically themselves.

JH: When you are casting each season, what's the criteria that makes for a good bad girl?

JM: First of all, it's not easy to find them. This is one of the toughest shows to cast. You don't want a sad girl. You want someone who is confident in who they are, who is opinionated, who knows what they want and goes after it. You want someone who doesn't believe in following rules that they think are stupid. You want this girl who is just out there.

JH: The girls are not allowed to hit each other while living in the house but what are some of the other house rules?

JM: There really aren't a lot of rules. The main rule is that we don't want anybody to get hurt. We want everybody to have fun. That's the main thing we worry about but other than that it's their house; they're running it.

JH: Because the tensions sometimes become very heated, are the camera crew and the producers always on alert in case they have to jump in?

JM: There are times when you might not see a producer step in and suggest that a girl takes some time and get away from each other and cool down. And then there are times when suddenly something that seemed like it was a lot of fun suddenly turns in a way that causes us concern so the crew steps in.

From Gloucester Daily Times: Kate The Actress?

Source: Gloucester Daily Times

OK, it's my turn to weigh in on the "Bad Girls" brouhaha.

Kate Squillace was my theater student at St. Mel's School 16 years ago.

Yes, I was her first drama teacher all those years ago, so you can blame me for her acts of professionalism in this current controversial endeavor.

When she was 8-years-old — in third grade — she was cast as Snow White over a bunch of fourth, fifth and sixth-graders, and even then, she could take and consider direction and make actor's choices on her own when performing, even in a kids play.

As the years passed, Kate got lead after lead in that and other theater programs. Always, she could do a lot more listening than the other actors and again, make the choices in performance that good actors make.

Honesty is the key in acting; listening and watching the other performers and responding honestly, often using the frustrations and joys of her own life to match the desired emotions demanded of her in the scene's objective

BGC4 Highest Rated Season Ever

According to the Futon Critic, the Bad Girls Club Season 4 became the highest rated season premier in BGC history. A total of 874,000 viewers tuned in last night to see the new girls in action. However, even with Oxygen's mass marketing and pre-show publicity (TMZ) the Bad Girls Club failed to top network ratings and ranked second in behind Oxy's other original which is Dance Your Ass Off. Dance Your Ass Off still remains at number 1 with a total of 1.3 million viewers during it's season premier.

Natalie Interview With NonStopInfo.Com

Source: NonStopInfo.Com

With Season 4 of The Bad Girls Club about to start, NonStopInfo.Com had a chance to sit down with Ms. Natalie Nunn (one of the upcoming cast members) to find out what made this former college star athlete become a rebellious bad girl socialite.

NonStopInfo.Com: When did you realize that you were a bad girl? Did you take some poor kids cupcake at nap time back in 1st grade?

Natalie: (Laughs) I was a good student but always questioned the rules, like… How come? Why do we have to do it that way? Plus at home if we had a ground rule, I would always break it. Like… come in at ten o’clock instead of my nine o’clock curfew.

NonStopInfo.Com: You are starring in “The Bad Girls Club, Season 4″ on The Oxygen Network. So who’s the Baddest Bad Girl?

Natalie: I would say its me.

NonStopInfo.Com: They’re seven girls in this mansion, what makes you the baddest one?

Natalie: I don’t have no fear, like… I’m meeting these six girls for the first time and I don’t care, I’m going to say what I want if I feel like saying it. I walked in there with this attitude. I definitely was the girl that was like… I’m making up the rules and setting the pace right away… I’m like don’t do this, don’t do that, immediately.

NonStopInfo.Com: How do the other girls feel about that?

Ripsi from BGC1 ARRESTED!!!!

So a source sent me this info....
Apparently Ripsi was arrested recently for Driving Drunk, and High.

Here is the story:

"Hripsime Terzian, 27, of 34 Flint Road, was arrested on Nov. 17 and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, possession of a Class E drug and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Terzian was found on Maplewood Road, unconscious behind the wheel of her car with the engine running. During inventory, police found 11 Seroquel pills."

Okay so If some of you weren't fans of BGC back when it first aired.
Ripsi was the tiny petite girl, who had a BAD alcohol problem and was drunk 24/7, and got crazy drunk the first couple of nights in and blacked out and went crazy, and beat the shit out of a few of the other girls, and then was voted out of the house.

Pictured below is the original Season 1 Cast, and Ripsi is on the bottom row to the left:
